More About the Team

Dr Farhat Hussain is a Neonatal and General Paediatrician specialising in perinatal medicine and developmental paedatrics.

Dr Hussain has over 20 years experience working across neonatal, perinatal, general and developmental paediatrics throughout Australian hospital and most recently in private practice. Dr Hussain practices from St John of God Murdoch to assist in the intensive care of unwell newborns. Dr Hussain is passionate about helping children and families and in addition to perinatal treatment, holds a special interest in the role of sleep, diet, and lifestyle in neurodevelopmental considerations.

Sandy Day

Sandra Day is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in neurodevelopmental assessment and in treatment of adolescents and adults, neurotypical and neurodiverse.

Despite working in a Paediatric clinic, Sandra continues to treat adults with complex difficulties. Sandra creates a warm, compassionate and respectful therapeutic environment to explore difficulties, develop new insights, and progressively develop helpful coping strategies to reach therapy goals. Sandy applies techniques and approaches of Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Family Therapy. 

In assessment, Sandy specialises in comprehensive and complex neurodevelopmental psychological assessment. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Autism Diagnosis from UWA. Sandy is a board-approved supervisor.

Belinda McKay is a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist specialising in autism and broad neurodiversity. 

Belinda is a skilled Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a wealth of experience. Belinda’s passion for her role in helping families continues to grow. She has a special interest working with children with disabilities, including autism. Belinda is skilled in supporting skills beyond the clinic into homes and schools. She works with school and other allied health professionals to support families. Belinda is an Occupational Therapist supervisor. 

Alex Enright is a Senior Speech Pathologist specialising in autism and speech & language assessment.

Alex is a skilled and passionate Speech Pathologist with extensive experience working across government, not-for-profit and private practice settings. Alex is a speech and language assessor for children at Millstream Paediatrics. She completes collaborative Speech Pathology Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments. and speech and language assessments.

Sonya Curran is a Clinical Psychologist Registrar with a special interest in neurodevelopmental assessment.

Sonya is a dedicated psychologist with a passion for supporting families in navigating unique developmental journeys. Sonya has experience conducting neurodevelopmental assessments within private practice settings and is committed to providing thorough and compassionate neurodevelopmental assessments by offering insightful evaluations and tailored recommendations at Millstream Paediatrics.
