Dr Farhat Hussain is a Neonatal and General Paediatrician with a specialisation in perinatal medicine and developmental paediatrics, bringing over 20 years of experience across neonatal, perinatal, general, and developmental paediatric care.
Dr Hussain heads the Neonatal Unit at St John of God Murdoch, where he also consults in private practice. Known for his warm and caring approach, he provides expert care across a child’s entire lifespan — from the intensive management of unwell newborns through to the assessment and support of developmental conditions in childhood and adolescence.
Dr Hussain is a valued member of the Millstream Paediatrics multidisciplinary assessment team.
Sandra ‘Sandy’ is the Clinic Director of Millstream Paediatrics and a Clinical Psychologist specialising in neurodevelopmental assessment, including Global Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Intellectual Developmental Disorder.
Sandy is passionate about bringing assessment services to regional and remote areas across Western Australia — the country she proudly calls her childhood home. She is committed to ensuring that families in underserved communities have access to the quality care they deserve.
Sandy is also a Board-approved supervisor, supporting the professional development of the next generation of psychologists.

Teagan Bennett | Team Lead – Senior Speech Pathologist
Teagan is a Senior Speech Pathologist and Team Lead at Millstream Paediatrics, bringing specialist clinical expertise and a commitment to the high-quality, cohesive team that supports families.
Teagan specialises in neurodevelopmental assessment with particular expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
At the heart of Teagan’s practice is a genuine belief in person and family-centred care, taking the time to understand each child’s strengths and communication profile, and translating complex clinical findings into practical, meaningful guidance families can understand.
As Team Lead, Teagan supports the professional growth of the speech pathology team, fostering a culture of clinical excellence, reflective practice, and continuous learning.
Min is a Clinical Neuropsychologist at Millstream Paediatrics, specialising in the assessment of cognition, memory, learning difficulties, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Min has developed a deep understanding of the relationship between brain and behaviour. She brings a dedicated, client-centred approach to every assessment.
Min is passionate about working with individuals from all walks of life and across the lifespan, including children, adolescents and their families, as well as those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and the neurodiverse community.
Kristen is a paediatric Speech Pathologist with extensive experience working with children and families in educational settings.
Kristen is passionate about helping children navigate complex language, literacy and developmental challenges.
She adopts a collaborative, family-centred approach and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver inclusive, evidence-based care.
Ebony | Provisional Psychologist
Ebony is a Provisional Psychologist currently completing her Clinical Masters in Psychology. She brings enthusiasm, a quick wit and a fresh, evidence-based approach to her work at Millstream Paediatrics.
Ebony provides ADHD screening services and a range of provisional psychology services, supporting clients under the supervision of senior clinicians.
